• Feature: Casaba melons are golden yellow with greenish coloration on their wrinkled exterior. The round, pumpkin shaped melon has a slight point at the stem end. The flesh is creamy-green, juicy and lightly sweet.
• Flavor: As soft as honeydew when ripe, casaba melon also tastes like a slightly sweet cucumber with the faintest hint of musk that these types of melons are known for.
• Height: The plants will reach a mature height of roughly 24 to 36 inches tall, vining outwards to take up as much as 10 feet in length.
• Harvest: Casaba melons are typically ready for harvest 80-100 days after planting. Look for signs of ripeness such as a change in skin color, a sweet aroma.
• Planting: Plant Casaba melon seeds about 1 inch deep in hills or rows. If planting in hills, space the hills about 6-8 feet apart. Water the seeds after planting.
